Highly acclaimed manga Soten Koro (蒼天航路) which has sold over 12 million comic books in 36 volumes with Three Kingdoms as the motivation behind its plot will start its run as Anime!

Three Kingdoms, which boasts overwhelming popularity even in Japan sees Cao Cao (曹操), the enemy tyrant as the lead character for big-scale production Soten Koro.

Over 200 characters will make their appearance - with war scenes presented through 3DCG to create impacting images.

 A special characteristic of the original manga concept is the exquisite detail in drawing and expressing possibilities through this that knows no boundaries.

Madhouse will take the reins in the animation production, with Toyoo Ashida (芦田豊雄) in charge of overall directorship.

The following draft pictures are of the lead character Cao Cao and his rival, Liu Bei.

From impacting flexibility in movement and facial expressions, it seems that the same things will be able to translate into a powerful animation production.
