Acclaimed "Saint Seiya" will be reborn in a new legend. "Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas - Hades Mythology" (聖闘士星矢 THE LOST CANVAS 冥王神話) which is currently serialized in Weekly Shōnen Champion will finally make its way into DVD and Blu- ray!

The animated version, strongly desired by fans will see the highly anticipated OVA (Original Video Animation) following all 13 chapters. 

From the work of illustrators Masami Kurumada (車田正美) and Shiori Teshirogi (手代木史織), "Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas - Hades Mythology" is a story set in 18th century Europe which depicts the crusade between Athena and Hades.

Tenma, the descendent of the Pegasus Bronze Saint, and the kind and pure Alone, where Hades chose to reincarnate in his body.

They were the best of friends, but...

SYNOPSIS

Can the promise only be fulfilled... By fighting this war? 

The stage is set in mythological times. the story of the "Holy War" between Goddess Athena's Saint and the God of the Underworld Hades.

This animation setting dates all the way back to 18th century Italy, more than 200 years before the time of Saint Seiya.

A peaceful period - but only for a brief moment, before an omen of a war beckons...

Tenma, who is reckless but upholds a strong sense of justice. Alone, who is a kind-hearted young painter..
Complete opposites of each other, they hold the other dear in their hearts.

As Tenma masters the peculiar Cosmo, his abilities were acknowledged by Gold Saint Libra Dohko (天秤座の童虎).

He then embarks on a journey to become a Saint.

Because Alone is the purest soul on Earth, he was chosen by Hades to reincarnate in his body, which results in an adverse change in Alone.

Knowing this truth Tenma grieves, becoming stronger and vowing to bring Alone back to his good side.

As Hades's Army creates chaos and disrupts Earth's peace, how will Athena and her Saints fight to defeat them?
